Varanasi: Taking a jibe at the opposition, especially Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said that the blessing of Sanatan Bharat is with PM Narendra Modi.“Rahul ji, listen carefully. As long as youth power exists, no one can harm the Sanatanis,” Himanta said while addressing a public meeting at Jagatpur College ground in Rohaniya at the conclusion of the Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra.Himanta said there was a time when bomb blasts took place every day in Assam, while today a semiconductor revolution is taking place in the state. There was a time when even Parliament was attacked, but today Pakistan does not enter India; rather, India enters Pakistan and gives a response, he said, adding that this is the new India in which a six-lane road has been built on the China border in Arunachal. “All of us have to work to take the story of development to every village,” he added.Himanta said, “Today is a very important day because 25 years ago, Gujarat, which was suffering from an earthquake, got Narendra Modi as its new leader. After bringing Gujarat to the forefront among leading states, Modi became PM and, under his leadership, there are more than 2,530 MLAs and more than 740 MPs across the country.“Before 2014, no one could have imagined that the BJP would become such a big party, but today, in 2026, the BJP has emerged as the largest party. There was a time when the BJP had three chief ministers, while today the NDA alliance has 22 governments under the leadership of one person, and for the next 50 years, no one can stand near the BJP,” he added. He has taken the country forward and established it as a new power in the world, he said, adding, “I have come from the land of Goddess Kamakhya to the city of Lord Vishwanath to bow my head.” He said there was a time when people could not even imagine the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, but under PM Modi’s leadership, the Ram Temple was built.“PM Modi leads the new India. The blessing of Sanatan Bharat is with Narendra Modi. The youth who have reached Kashi from Vadnagar are the picture of this new India.”Regarding the Vadnagar-to-Varanasi bike yatra, Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi said that the journey covered 19,719 kilometres and carried out service activities in 146 districts across 10 states.
