Bomb hoax triggers panic across three Tricity schools
Entry and exit points of the schools’ campuses were temporarily sealed during the search operations, and routine academic activities resumed once security clearances were issued.

Mohali: Three private schools in Chandigarh and Mohali received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, triggering an immediate security activation across the district before police declared all locations safe following extensive sweeps.The threat emails, received around 8:30am by Shivalik Public School, Paragon International School, and Gyan Jyoti Public School, claimed that the institutions would be targeted at 1:11pm.Mohali deputy commissioner Komal Mittal confirmed that emergency response protocols were immediately activated, deploying police teams, bomb disposal squads, and sniffer dog units to inspect the schools as well as the mayor’s office.Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Varun Sharma stated that every location mentioned in the emails was searched meticulously and no suspicious objects were found during the operation.Entry and exit points of the schools’ campuses were temporarily sealed during the search operations, and routine academic activities resumed once security clearances were issued.Police said the origin and authenticity of the threatening emails are being examined as part of an ongoing cyber investigation, while officials urged the public not to panic and to report any suspicious activity.
