Amritsar: An abandoned vehicle with suspicious items was found in Chheharta, 9km from the site of the blast that took place in Amritsar’s Khasa neighbourhood on Tuesday night.Shopkeepers said the vehicle, parked outside a shop, contained wires, pipes and drum-like objects, and its roof appeared partially cut. Suspecting foul play, they alerted police.A local shopkeeper said an unidentified man had parked the vehicle and bought 2kg mutton. “He suddenly left saying he was going to buy vegetables and did not return,” he said.Police teams reached the spot and launched an investigation.
