Hyderabad: The Telangana govt will formulate a comprehensive action plan to boost revenue by using state resources effectively , focusing on implementing the HILT policy and attracting investments in tourism.Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, who chaired a high-level review meeting on resource mobilisation at the secretariat on Saturday along with Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, directed officials to maximise revenue from govt lands and assets, enhance their value and create an investor-friendly environment.Officials were asked to expedite clearances for applications under the HILT Policy where there are no objections and mobilise government revenue at the earliest. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju suggested conducting minister-led roadshows in six parks to create greater awareness among industries about the policy.Vikramarka directed officials to prepare 70–80 detailed project reports (DPRs) showcasing investment opportunities in Telangana’s tourism sector at the upcoming Global Summit. Officials said proposals worth around ₹30,000 crore had previously been received after tourism investment opportunities were showcased.The Deputy CM asked officials to identify suitable locations and develop projects capable of attracting large-scale domestic and international investment.Officials said bids had been invited for 11 forts to develop them as tourism destinations under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. Vikramarka directed officials to immediately launch tiger tourism programmes.Uttam Kumar Reddy suggested exploring the use of the Nizam Guest House at Nizamsagar for tourism purposes, while Vikramarka called for greater focus on caravan parks to strengthen tourism infrastructure.He also directed officials to expedite the caravan park projects in coordination with Collectors of the three identified districts.
