Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday ordered Punjab govt not to take any coercive action against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, who recently defected from AAP to BJP, without its permission.Pathak had moved the HC seeking directions for Punjab govt to supply a copy of FIRs registered against him. The next hearing is on May 11. In his petition filed before the HC Chief Justice Sheel Nagu, Pathak alleged two FIRs were filed against him in an unknown district for unknown offences. The petitioner said a copy of those FIRs was intentionally not supplied to him or uploaded on official website of Punjab Police in spite of representation to the director general of police. Pathak alleged the FIRs were “calculated political vendetta” against him, calling them mala fide, arbitrary and abuse of the process of law.
