Gandhinagar: Gujarat State Examination Board has announced departmental exams for non-teaching employees of grant-in-aid secondary and higher secondary schools for the purpose of career advancement. The lower-level and higher-level exams for clerical cadre employees will be held on Nov 28 and 29 at centres in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.Employees who have completed two years of regular appointment will be eligible. Online applications can be submitted from Sept 24 to Oct 3. Candidates must submit physical copies of the applications to school principals by Oct 5, while principals are required to forward applications to the DEO office by Oct 10. DEO offices must send them to the state exam board by Oct 17.Both exams will feature four papers covering school-related laws, financial matters, miscellaneous subjects, and Gujarati-English language and office procedures. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in each paper to qualify. General candidates will get three free attempts and SC/ST candidates four attempts. The examination will be conducted entirely in Gujarati.
