Gorakhpur: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Thursday hit back at allegations levelled against its workers, urging those making the claims to present evidence instead of attempting to vitiate the university atmosphere through “unverified accusations”.Addressing a news conference at the organisation’s provincial office, ABVP’s Nikhil Gupta said some individuals were making baseless allegations against the student body and its workers in an attempt to tarnish the organisation’s image. He claimed that ABVP workers consistently worked for student welfare, raising issues related to students and advocating for a healthy academic environment on campus. He also challenged those alleging that teachers and ABVP workers consumed alcohol on the university campus and said they could undergo medical tests to prove the charges wrong. He said allegations against teachers or student leaders should be backed by evidence.
