Noida: German automation giant Festo opened its first experience centre in Phase 2 on Thursday. The facility will showcase live demonstrations and application-driven solutions across factory automation, electric automation, digital engineering, etc.“Noida is considered the capital of electronics manufacturing. There is also immense potential in FMCG, healthcare, automobiles and mobile manufacturing here. This is why we have decided to open the first experience centre here. This will serve as a gateway for customers to explore how seamless automation can create tangible business value. Through live demonstrations and expert interaction, we aim to help industries unlock new opportunities for efficiency and sustainable growth,” said Vikas Makhija, senior director, sales and marketing.Festo manufactures automation components used to automate processes across different industries. At the Noida experience centre, some of the units demonstrated how EV batteries can be manufactured through automation, blood samples of the same measure can be precisely collected for medical examination, and products can be cut into the same shape and size automatically.Founded in Germany in 1925, Festo is celebrating 40 years in India this year. It employs nearly 1,000 people in India and works with 25,000 customers and partners across the country. The company runs experience centres in Germany, China and other countries, but this is its first such centre in India.Ranajay Sarkar, head of marketing, said the Noida experience centre will provide customers, system integrators and educational institutions with direct access to Festo’s latest technologies and expertise. Students and academicians can also visit the centre to experience the machines firsthand .“Noida industries can use these machines to automate their businesses. People can visit the centre and experience how machines can automate their businesses. They can also come with their equipment and test it here. They can touch and feel the machines and get practical experience. Once they are satisfied, they can invest in setting up the unit,” an official said.
