Calangute: The road stretch near Calangute police station, which was hot-mixed in May, is now riddled with potholes following the onset of the monsoon and poses a danger for commuters, residents said.“Barely two months ago, both MLA Michael Lobo and Calangute sarpanch Joseph Sequeira inaugurated the hot-mixed road. If these roads get potholes within two months like this, then it means only corruption,” said an agitated resident.“The road is in a dangerous condition and there is every possibility that commuters can meet with an accident and fall into the fields on the side of the road,” Calangute sarpanch Joseph Sequeira said.Sequeira added that the panchayat had written to the WRD, which said to approach the PWD to initiate repairs after they had noticed that the road had sunk on one side.Residents said massive potholes have also developed all along the Chogm road from O’Coqueiro junction to Calangute church.
