MP Seeks Revival of Sirpur Kagaznagar-Hyderabad Superfast ExpressHyderabad: Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Friday wrote to the Ministry of Railways seeking the introduction of new train services, extension of passenger train routes and additional halts within the Peddapalli parliamentary constituency. In his letter, the MP highlighted the long-pending demands of people in Peddapalli and neighbouring districts of northern Telangana. “Lakhs of passengers, including students, employees, businesspersons, pilgrims and daily commuters, depend on the railway network, but existing services remain inadequate to meet growing public demand,” he said.Among the key proposals, Vamsi Krishna specifically sought the reintroduction of the Sirpur Kagaznagar-Hyderabad superfast express after a gap of 13 years to provide a direct morning connection between northern Telangana and Hyderabad. He said improved rail connectivity between Hyderabad and the Peddapalli-Ramagundam-Mancherial-Bellampalli region would not only enhance travel convenience but also create new opportunities in business, employment, education and industry. The MP said he had been continuously pursuing long-pending demands for railway development and train halts to address what he described as neglect of railway connectivity in the region over the past decade. He said his earlier efforts had resulted in securing stoppages for the Vande Bharat Express at Ramagundam and later at Mancherial, leading to increased ridership and higher railway revenue.Vamsi Krishna also expressed hope that the newly introduced special train would be continued as a regular service to better serve passengers in Telangana.
