Act tough against those occupying land of poor: CM

Gorakhpur: Taking a tough stand against land encroachment, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday ordered strict action against land grabbers and directed officials to ensure transparent disposal of property disputes after proper land measurement and verificationDespite rain, the CM held a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple, where he met around 250 people from different districts and listened to their grievances.“Do not worry. Every genuine problem will be resolved, and the govt will extend all possible assistance,” he assured the visitors.During the event, several women complained of land disputes, alleging that their properties had been encroached upon by relatives or local strongmen. Yogi directed officials to ensure a fair and transparent resolution of such cases after proper land measurement and verification of records.He also instructed authorities to take strict legal action against anyone found illegally occupying the land of poor and vulnerable people.Several people also sought financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. The chief minister directed officials to expedite the preparation of medical estimates and forward them to the state govt, assuring that eligible patients would receive aid from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.He further instructed officials to handle every complaint with sensitivity and ensure its transparent and time-bound disposal.Earlier in the morning, the chief minister followed his customary routine at the Gorakhnath Temple. After offering prayers at the shrine of Guru Gorakhnath and paying tribute to his late guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, he visited the temple cowshed, where he fed jaggery and rotis to cows and spent some time tending to them.
