Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Police have recovered 12 stolen two-wheelers along with gold and silver ornaments following a series of coordinated raids, busting an inter-state theft racket.According to Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) Naharlagun SP Nyelam Nega, the breakthrough came after a case was registered under Section 305(a) of the BNS at the Naharlagun police station, acting on multiple complaints of vehicle and property thefts reported from Naharlagun, Banderdewa, Nirjuli, and surrounding areas.The operation was led by Naharlagun police station officer-in-charge inspector K Dev and his team under the supervision of sub-divisional police officer Rishi Longdo. The recovered fleet comprises various models bearing registration numbers from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Police also seized two silver chains, three gold chains, a gold ring, a vehicle battery, a pump, and a mobile handset.SP Nega said the investigation was continuing and further recoveries were expected. Police have appealed to people whose two-wheelers have been stolen or missing in recent months to approach them with valid ownership documents for verification and identification.
