Varanasi: A nursing home operator wanted in connection with alleged fake medical practice and the death of a patient due to negligence was arrested by Mubarakpur police in Azamgarh district late Thursday.The accused, Gulab Chand Chauhan, was arrested in a case registered on a complaint alleging that he performed a surgery without the family’s consent, following which the woman died.According to reports, the complainant alleged that on July 15, his mother, Shyam Dulari, was admitted to Arya Nandini Nursing Home at Hariya Mor for treatment of stomach pain caused by a hernia. He claimed that the nursing home operator performed a surgery without the family’s knowledge or consent, during which she died.Based on the complaint, a case was registered under Section 105 of the BNS.
