RAF head constable injured in Imphal grenade attack

Guwahati: A Rapid Action Force (RAF) head constable sustained minor injuries after an unidentified person hurled a grenade at an outpost of the force in Imphal on Thursday night.Head constable Dhananjay Rai, who is from Uttar Pradesh, was taken to JNIMS hospital and later discharged, a source said.The explosion took place around 10pm at the gate of the outpost at New Lambulane in the Porompat police station area of Imphal East district.Police inspected the site and frisked the area and further investigation is underway. No insurgent outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
