Noida: The district administration has announced deadlines for applications and verification under the post-matric scholarship and fee reimbursement scheme for Other Backward Classes (OBC) students, excluding minority backward classes, for the 2026-27 academic session.According to the schedule released by the district backward class welfare department, students pursuing higher education must submit their scholarship renewal applications by Oct 15, while fresh applicants have until Oct 31 to complete online registration and submit their applications.Educational institutions have been directed to verify and forward eligible students’ renewal applications by Oct 25. The deadline for verification and forwarding of fresh applications by colleges and other institutions is Nov 10.The schedule also covers fresh applicants studying in pre-matric and post-matric classes from grades 9 to 12. Schools and educational institutions must verify and forward their applications by Oct 15, the department said.District backward class welfare officer Lavesh Kumar Sisodia said all educational institutions in the district had been instructed to inform eligible students about the application process and ensure that forms were submitted within the prescribed timelines.The scheme provides academic allowances and fee reimbursement to eligible students from the OBC category, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria.The department has asked institutions to ensure that students pursuing higher education, as well as those studying in classes 9 to 12, are made aware of the relevant deadlines to avoid missing out on benefits.The announcement was made on Oct 8 in accordance with govt directives. Students and institutions have been advised to follow the schedule applicable to their category and stage of application.
