Bengaluru: Ahead of Onam festival on Aug 26, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate 90 additional buses from Bengaluru to various destinations across Kerala to meet the expected surge in passenger demand. The special bus services will operate from Aug 21 to 25, according to an official release by KSRTC.Besides, the corporation will also operate special buses from various destinations in Kerala to Bengaluru on Aug 30 to cater to the return rush after the festival. The additional services will connect Bengaluru with major destinations in Kerala, including Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.The special buses will be operated from Mysuru Road Bus Station and Shanthinagar Bus Station (BMTC) in Bengaluru.Tickets can be booked through KSRTC website and also reservation counters at important cities in neighbouring states, including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Maharashtra and Goa. As part of its festival travel offers, the corporation will provide a 5% discount when four or more passengers book tickets together on a single ticket. A 10% discount will be available on two-way journey tickets.
