Hyderabad: The Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls presents a mixed picture across seven Old City and adjoining central Hyderabad constituencies. Collectively, these constituencies have a lower share of uncollectable enumeration forms than the Telangana average. However, between one-fourth and one-third of the forms in every constituency are still awaiting digitisation.All seven constituencies are represented by AIMIM, and the data so far allays the fear of mass deletions. It suggests that the area does not uniformly suffer from poor enumeration coverage. Six of the seven constituencies recorded uncollectable rates below the state average, with Yakutpura emerging as the exception. At the same time, pending digitisation remained widespread, with Malakpet and Karwan exceeding the state average and nearly seven lakh forms yet to enter the digital system across the seven seats.According to the SIR status report on July 31, Telangana had 48.29 lakh uncollectable forms out of 3.38 crore electors, accounting for 14.28% of the electorate. The seven constituencies, Yakutpura, Charminar, Nampally, Malakpet, Bahadurpura, Karwan and Chandrayangutta, together accounted for 2,92,859 uncollectable forms. Their combined rate stood at about 12.2%, lower than the state average.Yakutpura an outlierYakutpura was the only constituency among the seven to record an uncollectable rate higher than the Telangana average. It had 71,688 uncollectable forms, or 19.12% of its electorate, 4.84 percentage points above the state average. The constituency also recorded the highest number of uncollectable forms in the group, with nearly one in five electors falling under this category.The remaining six constituencies stayed below the statewide average. Malakpet had 43,318 uncollectable forms, accounting for 13.12% of its electorate, followed by Chandrayangutta with 48,555 forms, or 12.87%. Charminar recorded 29,342 uncollectable forms, accounting for 12.36% of its electorate, while Nampally had 40,379 such forms, or 11.67%.Bahadurpura and Karwan recorded the lowest uncollectable rates among the seven. Bahadurpura had 30,512 uncollectable forms, or 8.69%, while Karwan reported 29,065 forms, or 7.59%. Karwan’s rate was 6.69 percentage points below the state average and nearly half the Telangana figure. The numbers show that the Old City and adjoining constituencies did not follow a uniform pattern. While Yakutpura was above the state average, the remaining constituencies reported lower rates despite each having thousands of forms that could not be collected.Nearly seven lakh forms await digitisationDigitisation remained incomplete across the cluster, with 6,99,926 forms yet to be digitised in the seven constituencies. Statewide, about 29% of forms were awaiting digitisation. Against this benchmark, Malakpet recorded the highest pending digitisation rate among the seven at 34.41%, with 1,13,617 forms yet to enter the digital system.Karwan had the highest absolute number of forms awaiting digitisation at 1,23,724, accounting for 32.29% of its electorate. Nampally had 1,06,996 forms pending digitisation, or 30.93%, while Bahadurpura reported 1,05,442 forms, accounting for 30.04%. Chandrayangutta had 1,09,508 forms yet to be digitised, accounting for 29.02% of its electorate, almost in line with the state average. Charminar had the lowest absolute number among the seven at 68,648, though this still represented 28.91% of its electorate.Yakutpura recorded the lowest pending digitisation rate in the group at 26.27%, with 98,489 forms awaiting digitisation. Its data presents a contrast: while digitisation had progressed further than in the other six constituencies, a higher proportion of the forms already processed had been classified as uncollectable.Overall, Malakpet and Karwan remained above the state average in pending digitisation, while Nampally and Bahadurpura were also marginally higher. Chandrayangutta and Charminar broadly mirrored the Telangana trend, whereas Yakutpura remained below the state average on digitisation despite leading the group in uncollectable forms.
