Gurgaon: MCM has constituted ward-wise quick response teams (QRTs) to ensure time-bound redressal of public grievances within 24 hours. The teams will address civic complaints, including water supply problems, sewerage complaints, sanitation and solid waste management.Teams will conduct regular field inspections in their respective wards and monitor the status of work and complaints. Each QRT will comprise a sub-divisional officer (SDO) as chairperson, and junior engineers and supervisors as members. SDOs will be responsible for monitoring, supervising and ensuring timely disposal of complaints. Immediate action has been mandated on all complaints received from any source.Joint commissioner Puneet Kumar has directed that a daily action taken report (ATR) be submitted.Warning of strict disciplinary action, the commissioner’s order stated that any delay, negligence, non-compliance, failure to redress complaints within 24 hours, or non-submission of daily reports could lead to disciplinary proceedings against the SDO in-charge.“The concerned SDO shall carry out daily field visits in his/her respective ward and ensure continuous monitoring of all works and complaints. The SDO shall submit a daily visit report as well as monitoring report to the undersigned on a daily basis without fail,” read the order.
