Prof Tanmay Tiwari of KGMU will represent India at two international conferences in Boston, US, later this month. He has been invited as a speaker at the Society of Airway Management meeting scheduled from Sept 17 to 20 and the Regional Airway Meeting to be held from Sept 25 to 27. Tiwari will deliver talks on retrograde intubation and airway management in mediastinal masses, with a focus on difficult airways and patient safety. His presentations will draw on clinical experience and patient data from India.

AKTU launches Hindi AI courseStudents of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) can now enrol in a free Hindi-language introductory course on artificial intelligence (AI). AKTU VC Prof JP Pandey on Tuesday launched the ‘India AI Initiative’, an AI course developed by HCL GUVI and OpenAI under the university’s initiative. “In the first phase, the 90-minute course will be available to students on the AKTU campus. Students of affiliated colleges will also get free access in the next phase,” Pandey said.

‘Not every lump is TB’Not every lump or swelling is tuberculosis, and persistent or increasing lymph node swelling should be evaluated by a doctor, experts at the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) said on World Lymphoma Awareness Day on Tuesday. The institute’s departments of Clinical Haematology and Community Medicine, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Haematology Group, organised an awareness programme at the Rural Health and Training Centre in Juggaur.

Ganesha exhibition at Hazratganj MetroOn the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, UP Metro Rail Corporation organised a Ganesha-themed solo photography exhibition at Hazratganj Metro Station. The exhibition, ‘The Natural Forms of Ganesha’, features photographs by noted photographer Puneet Katyayan. It showcases 20 natural forms of Ganesha discovered in tree bark, trunks and natural textures. Katyayan captured these forms within tiny natural frames measuring just 2-3 inches and presented them in enlarged formats. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until Sept 17 between 6am and 10.30pm.
