Ghaziabad: An 80-year-old woman was injured after a fire broke out at her house in Pratap Nagar likely from a gas leak.The woman suffered minor burn injuries. She was rescued by fire department officers and taken to a hospital, where she is said to be stable after treatment.Chief fire officer Rahul Pal said the fire was caused by a leak in the gas cylinder kept in the kitchen. At the time of the incident, she was alone at home. Her son had left for work.The officer said they were alerted about the fire at around 11.30am and it was brought under control in an hour.“There were three more families living in the building on rent and they came out safely after the fire broke out,” Pal said.
