Dhubri: Police arrested suspected drug peddler Illias Sarkar during a raid on a medicine shop in Kalapakani village late Monday.Police seized suspected narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, an air gun, fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 5,600 and a phone.Dhubri police station OC Pritam Das described Sarkar as a “hardened drug peddler” who allegedly stockpiled drugs at the shop.“All the recovered articles have been seized, and the accused has been arrested,” Das said.Police are investigating the source and distribution network.
