New Delhi: On the occasion of ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’, observed annually on Aug 14, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has set up exhibitions at Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate metro stations. The exhibitions will be available for public viewing till Aug 21.The exhibition portrays the horrors of partition and its impact on history. “The observance of ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ has been envisaged to bring to light the agony, suffering, and pain of millions of people who were the victims of partition. It provides a reflective and educational experience, offering visitors an in-depth understanding of the tragic events surrounding partition,” said Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, DMRC.To commemorate India’s 80th Independence Day, National Capital Region Transport Corporation is organising a series of activities under Har Ghar Tiranga initiative across Namo Bharat corridor, bringing music and Tricolour to the commuter journey to celebrate the spirit of freedom and national pride. A special musical programme, ‘Desh Mere’, was organised at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station Thursday.A few Namo Bharat stations are also decorated with tricolour lights and are shining brightly with the hues of saffron, white and green.
