Bengaluru: A sessions court in the city Saturday permitted Kannada actor Darshan to receive physiotherapy and medical treatment in Bengaluru central prison. Also, the court directed prison authorities to submit a detailed report on his medical status by Nov 12.Darshan, currently in judicial custody for alleged involvement in Renukaswamy murder case, had approached the court citing severe back pain. His legal team said the pain had intensified significantly due to changing weather and conditions inside the jail cell.“If medical facilities available within central prison are insufficient to provide required treatment, the chief medical officer shall take steps to refer Darshan to an appropriate govt hospital or other competent specialised medical institution for further examination and treatment,” the court observed.
