Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Congress in charge Rajendra Pal Gautam on Tuesday said the party was preparing to contest all 403 seats in the state in the 2027 assembly election.Addressing a meeting of the Rajbhar community and the Mool Nivasi Samaj Party at Jamalpur in Sadar tehsil of Azamgarh, he said the party was strengthening its organisation across the state ahead of the next assembly elections.On the possibility of contesting the assembly election in alliance, Gautam said seat-sharing talks would begin next month after the organisational work was completed.Congress, he said, was preparing for all 403 seats and would support allies wherever they contest. As a senior partner in the INDIA alliance, Congress was well aware of its responsibilities, and all parties should plan to move forward together.Gautam said AICC and state observers had worked for nearly a month in all districts and city units to identify district presidents. The ongoing organisation-building drive is in its final stage, and the UP Congress structure, from top to bottom, will be announced this month.
