Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Monday refused an urgent hearing sought by Trinamool Congress over the freeze on its three bank accounts. The HC directed that notice be served on all parties and called for filing of the plea in regular course.Senior advocate Kishore Datta mentioned the matter before the single bench of Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya. He said TMC received intimation from the bank on June 19 that three accounts had been frozen. “Debit operations have been stopped,” he submitted. While Datta said this was allegedly done pursuant to police directions, Justice Bhattacharyya questioned the role of police in this. “It’s a vague complaint,” he submitted, pleading that the matter to be taken up on Monday itself. When the same was denied, he urged for a hearing on Tuesday.
