Dhubri: A farmer from Beltari village of Kokrajhar district went missing while crossing the Hell rivulet with his cattle on Sunday night.The missing person has been identified as Satyeswar Roy.Dotma police Steam rushed to the spot, but was unable to conduct search operations due to darkness and rain. However, early on Monday morning, an SDRF team started search operations.Till the filing of the report, the missing person could not be traced. Only a cotton towel that Roy had around his waist was recovered, a source said.“Normally, water in the rivulet flows at a knee-deep level, but due to heavy showers, the level went up to the chest level. Roy possibly lost control due to strong under current and was swept away,” a villager said.
