BJP committee zeroes in on four ‘suspects’ in cross-voting fiasco
BY Vijayendra said Nitin Nabin made it clear that those who “betrayed” the party would face action

Bengaluru/New Delhi: BJP’s fact-finding committee, that is investigating the cross-voting fiasco during last week’s legislative council elections, has identified four “suspects”, CT Ravi, party MLC, said Tuesday.A dozen NDA legislators, including from ally JD(S), are suspected of either cross-voting or casting invalid votes during the secret ballot. Ravi, who heads the three-member committee, said an interim report has been submitted to BY Vijayendra, state BJP president.“While we cannot categorically say these are people who cross-voted, our findings suggest that these 12 legislators are most likely to have cross-voted. Of these, four are from BJP (one invalidated), and the rest are from JD(S),” Ravi said.He said the committee’s investigation is still ongoing, and a final report would take time since members were examining additional inputs and details.
