Palanpur: Banas Dairy has announced the setting up of a new bio-CNG plant at Dhanpur in Banaskantha district, marking another step in its efforts to diversify farmers’ income and promote sustainable agriculture.The announcement was made during the foundation stone ceremony on Saturday.The proposed plant will convert cattle dung into bio-CNG, creating an additional source of income for livestock owners by enabling them to earn from dung collection alongside milk production, said Banas Dairy chairman Shankar Chaudhary. The dairy will invest Rs 40cr-Rs 50 crore to set up the plant.The Dhanpur facility will be Banas Dairy’s fourth bio-CNG plant, following the successful operation of three similar plants in the cooperative’s network.The dairy said the project is expected to benefit farmers and cattle rearers in the Radhanpur region by providing a new revenue stream
