Gorakhpur: All India Students’ Association (AISA) national president Neha Bora on Monday accused govt of evading accountability on issues of privatisation of education, paper leaks, unemployment and students’ rights.She was addressing a students’ gathering during GEN Mahajutan Yatra (GEN-Z rising) in Gorakhpur. Bora said that student and youth movements across the country reflected growing dissatisfaction with the existing education and employment systems.Referring to the protests in Uttar Pradesh, she said students were raising concerns over scholarships, inadequate hostel facilities, lack of women’s hostels and budget cuts affecting infrastructure in public universities. She also highlighted the demands of competitive examination aspirants and alleged delays in teacher recruitment.Terming the yatra as a campaign to strengthen student and youth struggles, Bora said it began in Prayagraj before passing through Varanasi and Azamgarh and reaching Gorakhpur. The next leg of the journey will cover Faizabad and Lucknow.
