Ghaziabad: Two women got into a physical fight inside a lift at a highrise society in Rajnagar Extension after one of them who had a muzzled dog with her stopped the other from entering a lift, police said.The woman who had been stopped from entering the lift, Hina Bari, has filed a complaint at Nandgram police station against the other woman, Shweta Dubey, on Sept 12. In her complaint, Bari, who is a teacher at a private school in Indirapuram, said that she reached the society around 3 pm that day. Dubey was in the lift and stopped her from entering. She allegedly used abusive language, and when Bari entered the lift forcibly, she slapped her, gave her threats and struck her with the stick.The altercation was captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the lift of Tower C at Windsor Paradise-2. In the footage, Dubey can be seen inside the lift with her dog. As the lift door opens, Bari is seen trying to enter the lift. Dubey stops her and soon strikes her with the stick in her hand. Other residents and security guards trying to tackle the situation can also be seen in the video.Nandgram ACP Ziauddin Ahmed said a non-cognisable report, a police record of a minor crime where the police cannot arrest or investigate without permission from a magistrate, has been registered against Dubey under sections 115 (2) (Voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of BNS. Further investigation is under way.
