Gurgaon: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident after a WagonR allegedly being driven at a high speed collided head-on near Khutpuri turn in Sohna Monday. The driver abandoned the vehicle at the spot and fled, police said.The deceased was identified as Manoj Kumar (38) from Hajipur village. According to a complaint filed by his younger brother Sonu, Manoj was nearing the petrol pump at the turn when the car, approaching from the Khutpuri village side, allegedly collided with his motorcycle head-on.Manoj sustained serious injuries in the accident. His brother, who reached the spot, rushed him to the govt hospital in Sohna where he was declared dead.Sub-inspector Satpal reached the hospital with a police team where Sonu submitted his complaint. He told police that the collision occurred because the driver was allegedly being driven at high speed negligently and sought legal action against the driver.An FIR was registered at Sadar Sohna police station for rash driving and causing death by negligence under BNS. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the car driver.
