The court granted Vishal bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh with two sureties of the same amount, directing him to appear for all hearings, not tamper with witnesses or evidence, not leave the court’s jurisdiction without permission, and cooperate with the probe. His advocate Kokkanda Appanna said he is likely to be released Monday as the order came late Saturday. He will remain in custody until then. Vishal denied the allegations while seeking bail. According to the complaint filed by the American woman, Vrijesh raped her on April 12 at the homestay after she was served a sedative-laced guava juice upon arrival. The complaint also alleged that Vishal had disconnected the Wi-Fi at the facility and pressured her not to disclose the incident to the police or anyone else.
