Times News NetworkMargao: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced six guarantees for Goa, promising 24/7 electricity with 300 free units for every Goan, Rs 3,000 a month for every woman and Rs 10 lakh health insurance for every family.Addressing a packed hall, he also promised to scrap Section 39A of the TCP Act within a month, free bus travel for women and a sports ground in every village.Kejriwal said Goans faced high power bills, rising prices, water shortages, unemployment and corruption under BJP while MLAs prospered. Women had to meet a dozen criteria for Griha Aadhar, he said, whereas AAP gave every woman in Punjab support without conditions. He alleged BJP wanted to sell Goan land to the highest bidder.Asked how the schemes would be funded, he said AAP had delivered in Punjab and Delhi, and that the issue was political will, not budget. Goa, he said, had a cash-rich govt.AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik said BJP had given Goa 15 years of corruption, high prices, crime and unemployment.This is not Kejriwal’s first set of Goa guarantees. Ahead of the 2022 polls, he tweeted seven guarantees for youth on Sept 21, 2021: a job per unemployed family, Rs 3,000 monthly until then, 80% private jobs for Goans, Rs 5,000 monthly each for those jobless in tourism due to Covid and those hit by the mining ban, and a skill university. In December 2021, he promised to raise Griha Aadhar from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500, plus Rs 1,000 for women left out.
