Mumbai: Satish Salian, father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian, on Thursday submitted to CBI a pen drive he claimed contained a witness’s testimony about his daughter’s death and videos related to the case.Satish, accompanied by his advocates, visited CBI office at Bandra-Kurla Complex and handed over the material. His lawyer said the eyewitness testimony was significant as it could shed light on “what had transpired and how the death had occurred”.Following Bombay high court’s order, CBI recorded Satish’s statement on Sept 11 and subsequently registered an FIR based on his allegations. Salian did not submit the pen drive to the agency, while recording his statement.Disha was found dead at a Malad housing society on June 8, 2020. Mumbai Police had concluded that she died by suicide and ruled out foul play. Satish had petitioned HC, seeking a murder investigation into Disha’s death and alleging “suspicious circumstances”. HC asked CBI to investigate the case.Satish had accused many persons, including politicians and police officers, of gang rape and murder of his daughter and alleged that there was a cover-up conspiracy.
