Bengaluru: A late-night rave party at a luxury service villa in upscale IPS Layout was busted by Central Crime Branch (CCB) after officers raided the venue. Three organisers were arrested, while prohibited hookah products, e-cigarettes and liquor were seized.According to police, the rave party was being held at on the night of July 25. Investigators suspect organisers deliberately chose the high-profile residential locality, believing it would attract less police attention.The organisers had rented the service villa for Rs 20,000 through Rev Keys Hospitality Services and promoted the event using the Amigos mobile application, inviting young men and women to attend the party.Acting on credible intelligence, CCB Women’s Wing conducted a raid on the villa around 4.30am on July 26 and arrested the organisers, identified as Deekshith, Vedanth Pandit, and Shankar, from Rev Keys Hospitality Services.Police said an entry fee of Rs 1,099 was collected from men, while women were charged Rs 499. Nearly 50 people had taken part in the party. They were subjected to medical tests to check if they had consumed drugs.Police also registered a case against the owner of the service villa at HSR Layout police station under Karnataka Excise Act, COTPA Act, and the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture, Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage and Advertisement) Act.
