Lucknow: Director general of police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna on Thursday met Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) inspector general (IG) Meenu Choudhary and discussed measures to enhance coordination and bolster security along the state’s border with Nepal.During the meeting at the Police Headquarters in Lucknow, the two officers discussed a joint strategy to intensify patrolling, surveillance, vehicle checking and area domination exercises to curb cross-border crime and ensure foolproof security arrangements.According to UP Police officials, the officers also deliberated on issues of strategic importance, emphasising closer operational coordination and intelligence sharing between the two forces to strengthen border management and maintain heightened vigilance along the sensitive Indo-Nepal frontier.
