Varanasi: The 67th Men’s All India Inter-Railway Wrestling Championship 2026-27 was inaugurated by the general manager of Banaras Locomotive Works, Ashutosh Pant, on Tuesday at the BLW Wrestling Centre.The inaugural bout was between BLW wrestler Arjun Yadav and Northern Railway wrestler Dinesh. In the 69 kg Freestyle Wrestling category, BLW’s Arjun Yadav put up an impressive performance and emerged victorious.A total of 13 teams are participating in this prestigious Indian Railways championship, including Northern Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, North Western Railway, North Central Railway, Rail Coach Factory, Banaras Locomotive Works, Railway Protection Force, North Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, Railway Board, West Central Railway and South Western Railway.The championship features competitions in Freestyle Wrestling in the 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97 and 125 kg weight categories, while Greco-Roman Wrestling competitions are being held in the 55, 60, 63, 67, 72, 77, 82, 87, 97 and 130 kg weight categories.
