Jaipur: Hosts Vidyasthali Public School won the Under-17 age group title in the CBSE Cluster 14 Inter-School Basketball Championship which concluded at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here on Monday.Central Academy Kota became the champions in the Under-14 category, while Sanskar Public School reigned supreme in the Under-19 section.In the Under-17 final, Vidyasthali crushed Prince Sainik School, Sikar 21-2 to grab the title. MPS Jawahar Nagar and MPS Kalwad finished joint third.According to the host school’s secretary, Dr Yogendra Singh, in the Under-14 final, Central Academy Kota defeated Sanskar School, Jaipur 26-17. MPS Pratap Nagar and Rath International Sikar were placed joint third.In the Under-19 final, Sanskar School edged past Central Academy, Kota 30-28 to pocket the title. St Edmunds HS, Malviya Nagar and Prince Sainik School Sikar had to be satisfied with the third spot.At the closing ceremony, Rajasthan State Sports Council secretary Rajkesh Meena, Kota University Founder Vice Chancellor Prof BL Verma, and Vidyasthali Group of Education secretary Dr Yogendra Singh presented the awards to the winners. Host school principal Dr Sandhya Singh expressed her gratitude.
