Pune: A 17-year-old college student was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her house in Chinchwad on Friday afternoon. Senior police inspector Dattatreya Chaskar of Chinchwad police said the incident occurred when the student was alone at home. When her parents returned home in the afternoon, they found her hanging from the ceiling fan in one of the rooms.“Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide,” Chaskar said. He said the victim was a student at a private college in the city. “We have registered a case of accidental death. Our investigation is underway,” he said.
