Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the newly widened and strengthened Green City–Madhopur Bundh Road in Gorakhpur on Tuesday morning. The nearly two-kilometre road has been developed at rS 69.58 crore.The inauguration ceremony will be held near the National Highway junction. Following the inauguration, the CM will travel along the newly upgraded road to the venue of a public meeting at a ground near the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar.The road connects National Highway-24 (Sonauli–Nautanwa–Gorakhpur) with Madhopur Bundh via Green City and Patniya. The widening and strengthening project was executed by Construction Division-2 of the Public Works Department (PWD).The upgraded road is expected to significantly ease traffic movement for residents of Green City and adjoining residential colonies. To improve drainage during the monsoon and prevent waterlogging, drains have also been constructed along both sides of the road.The CM will address the gathering after completing the inauguration ceremony, marking the completion of an important infrastructure project for the area.
