YEIDA OKs 17 firms, eyes Rs 6k crore investment, 10k jobs
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath issued land allotment letters to 17 firms in Lucknow

Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has allotted plots to 17 companies for investment in the Yamuna City area, with allotments expected to bring in more than Rs 5,800 crore and generate over 10,000 jobs.The projects span key sectors, including renewable energy and battery manufacturing, electronics and electrical equipment manufacturing, IT/ITeS and data processing, transport, MSME manufacturing, and advanced industrial components.The recently inaugurated Noida International Airport in Jewar is expected to act as a major catalyst for regional development. Keeping this in mind, officials said the recent allotments lay the foundation for a world-class aerotropolis that will attract global industries, promote exports, and provide Uttar Pradesh with a strong position on the global investment map.YEIDA CEO RK Singh said chief minister Yogi Adityanath handed over allotment letters to the 17 companies in a programme in Lucknow. “Through these projects, investment worth thousands of crores of rupees will come to the state and generate over 10,000 jobs,” he said.CESC Green Power Ltd is set to make the largest investment in the solar and green energy sector with its 3 GW capacity solar cell and module manufacturing unit on 100 acres in Sector 8-D. The project will bring in an investment of Rs 3,805 crore and generate around 5,000 jobs.Integrated Batteries India Pvt Ltd will set up a 4 GW capacity solar PV cell manufacturing unit on 25 acres. It will see an investment of Rs 1,146 crore and create 500 jobs.The area will also see investments from IT/ITeS firms. Of these, Arsenal Infosolutions Pvt Ltd is set to invest Rs 71.19 crore to establish an IT/ITeS unit, which will generate 1,140 jobs. The company will set up its unit in Sector 16-A and has also promised to offer 40% of the jobs to local youths.Virtual Employee Pvt Ltd will invest Rs 48 crore in an IT/ITeS project, creating employment for 600 people. This company claims to offer 70% of jobs to local youths. Amadeus India Pvt Ltd will establish an information technology project worth Rs 160 crore, generating 275 jobs.Quarks Technosoft Pvt Ltd will establish a data processing centre. The company will invest Rs 47.47 crore and provide employment to around 1,800 youths. This will strengthen the data and digital services sector in the state, officials said.Commercial operations are set to begin at Noida airport from June 15, with Indigo being the first carrier.
