Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) plans to develop a 100-acre animation, visual effects, gaming, comics and extended reality (AVGC-XR) park next to the upcoming Film City in Sector 21.YEIDA chief executive officer RK Singh said the project will house animation studios, VFX studios, game development and game design centres, motion capture studios, virtual production facilities, artificial intelligence-based content creation centres and laboratories for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR).It will offer an integrated ecosystem for animation, visual effects, gaming, comics and extended reality industries, which are increasingly being used in films, web series and digital content production.The park’s proximity to the proposed Film City, officials said, was expected to enable collaboration between filmmakers, animation studios and digital content creators. Noida International Airport will also allow seamless domestic and international connectivity, while air cargo facilities, expressway links and logistics infrastructure are expected to attract global investors and technology companies.Officials said YEIDA will soon prepare a detailed project report for the park.
