Pune: A 33-year-old woman and her six-year-old child died after allegedly jumping from the 18th floor of their housing society at Dange Chowk on Friday evening.Senior police inspector Vitthal Salunke of Wakad police said the incident took place around 6.30 pm. “The woman and the child were found in the duct of the housing society. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead.”“The woman and her family had been living on the seventh floor of the society for the past two years. Her husband is a software engineer working with an IT company in Yerawada. The family hails from Rajasthan. We are investigating the reason behind her step,” Salunke added.
