CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurates the unit
Dibrugarh: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday inaugurated a green autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block manufacturing unit set up by Lightbricks Private Limited, a constituent of KD Group of Industries, at Hapjan in Tinsukia district.The unit marks a major step towards industrial development in upper Assam.Established with an investment of around Rs 55 crore, the facility is considered the largest private-sector manufacturing investment in Tinsukia district in the past 15 years.The project, which emerged from an investment commitment made during the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, has an annual production capacity of two lakh cubic metres and is expected to replace nearly 10 crore conventional red bricks every year.
