Times News NetworkPanchkula: Aditi Singh, a 2021 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as the new deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Panchkula, on Tuesday, replacing Srishti Gupta.She said that ensuring women’s safety, strengthening law and order, and maintaining a safe, peaceful, and secure public environment would be her top priorities. She also underlined the need to build public trust in the police and ensure quick and fair action on every complaint.The officer formally took charge at the district secretariat, Sector 1. She met ACPs and heads of various police branches and took information about their responsibilities, functioning of different units, and the current law and order situation in the district. She also issued necessary directions to strengthen policing, crime control, and public service.Assuring appropriate legal action on every complaint, she said anyone who had any problem or suggestion for the police could visit the DCP office and meet her.The officer, who belongs to Meerut in UP, previously served as SP in the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Gurugram Range.
