Strong surface winds are also likely over coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, Telangana and parts of Karnataka.IMD’s latest forecast for the next few daysRainfall activity is likely to continue across several parts of the country till August 12.Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is expected over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and parts of the Northeast.Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha, Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and northeastern states during the next few days.Fishermen warningThe IMD has advised fishermen against venturing into the sea due to rough weather conditions.In the Arabian Sea, squally weather is expected along and off the Somalia coast, over parts of the westcentral, southwest and eastcentral Arabian Sea, north Arabian Sea, and along and off Karnataka and Kerala coasts, including Lakshadweep waters.In the Bay of Bengal, fishermen have been advised to avoid the Odisha coast, Andaman Sea, south Sri Lanka coast and adjoining parts of the south Bay of Bengal between August 7 and 10.
