Times News NetworkChandigarh: The weather remained generally warm and humid in Chandigarh on Saturday, with isolated rainfall reported in parts of the region during the past 24 hours.The Chandigarh Weather Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal and a minimum temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius, which is normal. The city received 0.8mm rainfall between 8:30am and 5:30pm, while no rainfall was recorded during the preceding 24-hour period.For the next five days, the meteorological department has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunderstorms and rain in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.Maximum temperature is expected to range between 35 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may remain between 25 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius.According to the seven-day forecast, isolated rainfall activity is likely to continue over Chandigarh and adjoining areas from Aug 23 to Aug 28. No major weather warning has been issued for the city after Aug 22.The Chandigarh Weather Observatory recorded 550.2mm of seasonal rainfall since June 1, which is 15% below normal for the period.
