Bengaluru: Three passengers were injured after two BMTC buses collided near Rajajinagar Sunday, with preliminary investigation suggesting that the crash occurred when a car travelling ahead of the buses applied sudden brake.According to Rajajinagar police, three persons, including a woman, sustained minor injuries. They were treated as outpatients at a nearby hospital. The accident involved an electric BMTC bus and a regular one. The collision took place when one of the buses attempted to overtake the other while, at the same time, a car ahead applied sudden brake, leading to the impact.The force of the collision damaged the windscreen of the e-bus and the rear portion of the regular bus, as the former rammed into the latter. Rajajinagar police said the BMTC bus drivers or their conductors have yet to lodge a complaint. The incident comes close on the heels of an accident involving two BMTC buses near KR Circle Saturday, in which around 18 passengers were injured.
