Two bike crashes in Gurgaon claim four lives in 2 days

Gurgaon: Four people were killed in two road accidents in the city. In the first case, two motorcycle-borne youths, Rohit and Abhishek, died after a collision with a Tata Punch in Sector 14 area in the early hours of Friday near Lal Hospital on New Railway Road.A passerby, Harsh Kumar, told police he had come out for a walk from his house in Miya Wali Colony when he saw a motorcycle and a Tata Punch involved in an accident.He said the car driver was driving negligently and at a high speed. He alleged that it hit the motorcycle, causing the duo to fall and sustain severe injuries.The injured, Rohit, a resident of Jadra, and Abhishek, a resident of Riwadi Khera in Bhiwani, were taken to a govt hospital, where doctors declared them dead.The car, a white Tata Punch, was found damaged after colliding with a divider. Police detained its driver, Priyanshu Kumar Gupta, a resident of Adarsh Nagar.Based on Harsh’s complaint, a case was registered under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106(1) (causing death due to negligence) of the BNS at Sector 14 police station.In the second accident, two youths, Anirudh and Atul, were killed in a head-on collision between their motorcycle and a bus near Gulmohar Farm House around 3.40pm on Thursday.Satendra, a resident of Charkhi Dadri district, told police that his son Anirudh was travelling on a motorcycle with Atul, who was riding the vehicle.According to the complaint, as the duo arrived at Yaduvanshi School towards Sector 90 Chowk, a bus being driven at a high speed came from the opposite direction and collided head-on with the motorcycle.Police said both Anirudh and Atul were found dead at the spot. They were taken to Civil Hospital, Sector 10, where doctors declared them dead. The bus was found abandoned at the accident site.A case was registered under sections 106 and 281 of the BNS on Satendra’s complaint at Sector 10 police station.
