Malerkotla: Malerkotla police have arrested three men in connection with an assault on two brothers following a dispute on Sept 25.The arrested individuals have been identified as Ashif Ali, Mohammad Rafiq alias Nannu, and Subhag alias Kakku, all residents of Malerkotla.Addressing the media, Malerkotla SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh stated that the assault occurred on Sept 25, 2026, when the complainant and his brother were attacked following an argument. A video clip depicting the violent altercation was subsequently widely circulated on social media.A case was registered against the trio at City-1 police station, Malerkotla, under Sections 118(1) (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons), 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
